During This Brutal Hurricane, SeaPen Saved My Boat

“I purchased the SeaPen for my 475 Intrepid. The ease of assembly and customer service shown by Craig Freeman, the Solstice Docking team as well as the support of Legendary Marine was impeccable. I first looked at the SeaPen in Pensacola when Legendary Marine presented this new era of boat protection. I was intrigued by the concept of getting my boat out of the water without leaving the water, keeping my boat super clean.

With this new boat protection set into place, it was truly tested. On September 15, 2020, we watched Tropical Storm Sally take formation which forced us to start prepping our boat & SeaPen. Total time for prepping for the storm was 45 minutes, consisting of tying the boat to the SeaPen and the SeaPen to the dock, along with 3 bumpers on the port side.

The next day of September 16, 2020, at approximately 6:00am in the morning, I found myself in the middle of a category two hurricane (2mph under a category 3). Everything seemed fine until I looked to the east side of the marina and watched a fuel dock float by.

After witnessing all the destruction occur right before my eyes, I was so surprised my boat did not have any damage due to the SeaPen. Tying the SeaPen to the dock and the boat to the SeaPen acted as a carnival bumper car.

At last, the hurricane winds subsided and clear skies started to appear. The marina was left with nothing but destruction, debris and lots of financial loss.

But as for me, the only damage we had sustained was a small gel coat cut from flying debris. I was beyond relieved and thankful that my boat had survived this vigorous storm.

I purchased this SeaPen for the mere fact I didn’t want to spend the money on a lift to a marina slip that I do not own. It has the ability for one’s boat to be in the water but Dry. I know it does a great job keeping the bottom clean and free of having to apply bottom paint.

The safety aspect whether known or not by SeaPen is remarkable. To have 20/30 thousand-pound boats floating by with the current and bumping into the SeaPen, only to float off with my boat unharmed to a different area was a breath of fresh air to not worry!!

Thank You SeaPen, I am forever a customer!!!”.
